Hi Rob,

Bought it back in June. Any word on the update status?

Happy New Year

So have you tried installing the update posted above?   You should get to a version date 5 nov 2019.

If the update does not work for you, please confirm this in my post below.   I assumed everyone was happy due to no responses except Pearco.

I can confirm that the currrent download is the updated version.   If all else fails, just download a trial version, and give it your purchased  serial number.

That will give you the update.

Hi Rob,

I decided it's not worth the effort.

All the update does is cure some of the bugs introduced with the new features  in v 2019 (and the entity 1 stray line bug).

I didn't want any of those new features anyway, and I certainly didn't want the longer load time. I wanted fixes for 13 year old bugs. Fixes that would allow me to create exported drawings that would not make me look unprofessional, or expose me to professional liability.

Has the file size or load time been reduced in the update?

....  We are working on Patch with some important fixes.
I was waiting for this.

We will share the finalized list of DesignCAD 2020 New features by the end of this month.
But this looks like more of the same. No more fixes for v2019.

More Bloat for v2020?

Happy New Year,
bd

At least one can now have a fully working V2019 fairly bug-free with the pdf import feature if you find that useful, sands the stray lines.

I have kept the second latest unpatched V2018 so I can draw in red mode shaded.   Unfortunately this one has the broken insert manager, so I need to use V2019 for that etc.

I also like to have a working copy of the latest version to help with answering questions on the forum here.

As I see it, if I eventually want V2020, my upgrade price from V2019 as opposed to upgrade from earlier versions should almost pay for itself.   :)

HI RobS,
Took your advice. Got 11/5/19 in the Help/AboutDesignCad window.
Running it on my new windows10 laptop, it loads faster than on my old 32-bit win7.
Thanks,
bd

But V28 load time is still twice as long as versions 26 and 27.
